Hey kids! Are you excited to learn English and improve your speaking skills? Let’s play a game of “Correct the Sentence”!
Sometimes, we say things incorrectly without realizing it. But don’t worry, it’s all part of learning! Let’s explore some common mistakes and learn how to correct them.
Mistake 1: Me and my friend…
Wrong: “Me and my friend go to the store.”
Correct: “My friend and I go to the store.”
Remember, when you’re with someone, say their name first, then “and I”!
Mistake 2: I don’t know…
Wrong: “I don’t know nothing about it.”
Correct: “I don’t know anything about it.”
Use “anything” instead of “nothing” to sound smarter!
Mistake 3: My best friend…
Wrong: “She is my bestest friend.”
Correct: “She is my best friend.”
There’s no such word as “bestest” – just say “best”!
Keep practicing, and soon you’ll be speaking English like a pro! Remember, making mistakes is okay – it’s all part of learning and growing.
